I decided to test them out after seeing the Gigablast search engine in the new Nightmare on Elm Street movie. After finding that Gigablst retrieved 0 results for something that Google found 491 results for I emailed Gigablast to let them know that I tried them out and what I had found.

They emailed me back and called me a “dick”. How's that for PR?
Won't be using them, ever!

Why then Gigablast isn’t used by 80% of US web users like Google? Forty-eight sample search queries are in no way representative selection to compare with. Google gets millions queries a day and people like the results.

I like google as a search engine, but for my homepage i like http://www.azokan.com because you have everything that u used to have with google and much more sites to search in.
fast, easy and useful.

hmmm not sure if I agree.

Just did several search’s on some items and Google seemed to give me the variety of choice.

One of the searches I am doing for example; looking for a series of obscure books “elements of mining engineering”

All the search engines that are claiming better than google seem to come up short.

IMO if there is something better than Google I’m sure it would be in the media…because schmucks in the media thrive/live on Google (including myself)

Google has done it for me for the last 5 years, I haven’t seen something better.

Just my opinion…

Sorry Gigablast does not even come close to Google for real everyday usage. I ran some tests and mostly Gigablast does not contain important pages in its index.

The world doesn’t need another Google, perhaps smaller more specialized search engines would be a better idea for emerging providers.

Gigablas has always been just as good as Google, and also the technology ie they use less servers and are more energy efficient.

Sadly good had the two stanford grads story to sell to teh media, Gigablast hasnt had the ability to catch the medias attention.

Its the media folks ( look at the elections, the only way obama was so prominent or hilary was over the others is because the media was on their side).
