Great Gift Ideas for Geeky Kids

OK, we have discussed great techy gifts for adults and girly girl geek gifts, but we could not leave out the kids. So here are some cool gift ideas for “Geeky” and “Tech” kids (or if you are trying to raise a geek these might be good). We will go from young children to older children (and many of these gifts would be good for adult geeks as well). All titles are links.

  1. A cheaper alternative, at $99, for the iPad is the LeapFrog LeapPad. Same functionality at a much cheaper price. And designed with kids in mind. It’s a hot 2011 Christmas gift – hard to find anywhere right now!

  2. HEXBUG Crabs: Not for girls.

It’s disappointing that in 2011, we’re still reinforcing ridiculous stereotypes like boy and girl toys.

    1. Jam, I never said that the HEXBUG was only for boys. I was simply referencing my boys and all the boys I have bought them for. Since I do not have a girl I and have not bought them for girls I cannot state that girls would love them.
