Giant Eva Longoria Attacks Google Earth

Maxim Magazine and Google have pulled off one mammoth publicity stunt with a 75 x 110 foot Maxim cover featuring a bikini clad Eva Longoria spread out in the Nevada desert. The aim of the stunt is to get Eva’s body and Maxim’s 100th issue included in Google Earth satellite images and all over media outlets with a little help from some organic Google buzz.

From the Maxim Site:

Here at Maxim, we like things big: power tools, cupcakes, over-the-top stunts in honor of our greatness. Like this enormous cover of smoking mega-hottie Eva Longoria. Constructed near Vegas out of vinyl mesh to celebrate our 100th issue, this colossal babe can be seen from outer space using Google Earth. Or just click the link below, and get ready for a UFOs-eye view of gigantic hotness.

The image is not indexed on Google Earth in real time, but can be accessed via a special Google Earth data file available via Maxim.

PLEASE tell me why i should care at ALL if my Google Earth app does not show it.

    HUH?

I (stupidly) wasted an hour trying to find it presumably because it was on google earth as ADVERTISED by the article.

The whole point of google earth would be to look at things from high above and see cool detail – like your house or car.

The whole point of pointing out that this pic was taken from google would be to allow people to see it – ODDLY enough using google earth.

Any ideas, or does google (to your knowledge) plan to actualy make it available to the oh, so common man.

Sorry for the rant – i hate wasting my time.

    Jeez.
