This is annoying! All I want my address bar to do is go directly to the web page I type in. If I want a search engine, I would type the URL to the search engine that I want to use. I will be getting rid of Firefox because of this huge inconvenience.

Thanks for this post. Just got Firefox updated and was wondering what the heck to do with it. One thing I noticed is that it doesn’t have a pagerank button. Does anyone know if there’s a way to add it? I looked at the add on’s and don’t see it.

Great post, nothing better than having a firefox bar with spinners. Seriously though one of the reasons I love Firefox is being able to customize it to the experience I want with the tools I need. Thanks for adding to my lists of must haves
