@Naz. I hope you are trolling, either that or you were thinking 3.0.6.

And I hope the author here means that the first alpha of 3.6 is due soon (and even thats a stretch). Because 3.6 final isn’t due for a long long time, and by the sounds of things, there isn’t enough finalised for 3.6 yet to call it an alpha.

Journalists probably shouldn’t be writing articles about pre-alpha extensions either. Especially when it obvious that this is just a repost of someone else’s story, because the author doesn’t know the obvious basics.

3.6 has been available since October of last year.

How much confusion in these comments.

3.6 (the first alpha) is expected 4 weeks after 3.5 final, which could occur any day now.

The feature described above uses the places database local to your machine. There is no third party knowledge of the data implied, thus no privacy issue.

Something else to suck up your bandwidth? With service providers trying to cut bandwidth, that isn’t such a great idea.

And people keeping info on me is not to my liking. What happened to privacy.

Firefox 3.6 is not about to be released soon.
The next coming version is 3.5; this version will probably be released pretty soon.
So it’s going to take a little while until this feature becomes part of Firefox.
