According to Barry Schwartz and a mail from a member at DigitalPoint, the new version of Firefox 2.0; which was just released by Mozilla, is not included in the Google AdSense Firefox Referral program.
Google AdSense has an affiliate style program which pays $1 per download of Firefox & Google Toolbar referral from a publisher’s site.
Google’s Referral program, however, does not yet cover Firefox 2.0… only up to Firefox 1.5.
This is a copy of an email to a DigitalPoint member, which is apparently from Google:
Thanks for writing in about the Firefox plus Google Toolbar referral button. We currently offer Firefox 1.5 in our referral download. We can’t yet say if or when we will offer Firefox 2.0, but I’m happy to pass along your comments to our engineering and product teams.
With the buzz around Firefox 2.0 are Mozilla and Google losing a big market by not offering referrals to Google AdSense publishers? Possibly not, as the first downloads of Mozilla 2.0 will probably be via buzz or organically persuaded, with phase two in heavy advertising and affiliate revenues.

I hope they will cover 2.0, as Firefox is a great way to spread the word and keep a little money in your pocket.
