Fast Search Develops New Advertising Platform : FASTMedia

Fast Search and Transfer has launched FASTMedia, a software offering which allows media companies and publishers another option of delivering in-house managed search and advertising campaigns without dependency on Google AdSense or Yahoo’s YPN.

Reuters reports :

U.S. newspaper companies are looking to offset weakness in traditional classified advertising businesses by signing deals with Internet search companies such as Google or Yahoo, but such deals put added pressure on already tight margins.

FASTMedia is made of several existing products … which specialize in developing software for businesses to search both internal archives and Web-based information. Once a publisher purchases and installs the software, they retain all resulting revenue.

FASTMedia is helping publishers to deliver specialized search & advertising results including audio, video, images and text among their web and mobile offerings.

  • Yes, we heard about their system before couple of months when they did testing with their clients like 24.com, sesam.no (norway search engine) and others. The good thing in this new ad platform that you can create your own network of advertisers & publishers easily with professional interface. I believe it will be a good solution for medium-size search engines.
