Primary Job Responsibilities
The eBay Natural Search Initiative is a cross-functional effort to allow eBay pages to rank well in natural search engines. The Internet Marketing team is looking for a motivated individual to manage the companys natural search projects while developing the overall natural search strategy. As a key member of the team running one of the industry’s largest online advertising programs, you will play a vital role in driving the growth of eBay’s revenue and profitability.
The role will be responsible for executing projects utilizing a broad set of skills including project management, problem solving, data analysis and communication. Key responsibilities:
Work with Product Management to develop new natural search projects and define requirements
Work with many cross-functional teams to execute on projects, including Category Management, Product Management, Product Development, Marketing, Design, Operations, Architecture
Prepareand present senior management communications concerning key natural search issues and initiatives
Analyze, test, and execute on long-term strategies to enhance natural search effectiveness
Continually optimize natural search performance through analysis of data, as well as identification, application, and communication of best practicesJob Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience similar to that gainedat a world class consulting firm or corporate strategy group. Strong problem solving and analytical skills, strategic thought, and comfort with operating in a dynamic and fast-paced workplace are musts.
3-4 years of experience in consulting, strategic planning, banking, e-commerce, and/or marketing
Bachelor’s degree required
Excel at project management and multi-tasking in an environment of rapidly shifting priorities
The successful candidate will be highly organized, have excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
Ability to interact with all relevant levels of management
Passion for and understanding of eBay considered a strong plus
Proficient in Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Teamwork and enthusiasm a must
