Earthlink, one of the largest and most innovative ISPs in the US, has just acquired an anti-spyware firm to add to its anti-pop up, anti-spam and anti-virus offerings for Earthlink customers. Earthlink was one of the first ISP’s to offer anti-popup and anti-spam software for its users. Techwhack’s Sushubh Mittal reports on the Earthlink news.

EarthLink has announced plans to acquire Aluria Software LLC which specializes in developing anti-Spyware applications. They would be acquiring all the assets of this privately held company which develops security applications. The acquisition is expected to be complete by the end of next month as per the statement from the company.

Aluria Software LLC was founded in 1999 and operates from Orlando in Florida state of USA. The company is mostly known for its anti-spyware application called Spyware Eliminator which is quite popular amongst the web consumers.
