Adds Thumbnails and Search Advertisements Adds Thumbnails and Search Advertisements underwent another facelift today which brings more usability to the product, which is bringing in more and more users, while also adding to its ability to earn revenue. The new homepage is much more Digg-like than before, with the entire homepage featuring bookmarked stories which range from being ‘Hot Now’ to ‘Still Cool.’

A nice addition to the homepage is thumbnails of the sites and posts which are being featured. Like the titles of the featured stories, the thumbnails also link to the original destination. thumbnails

The new set up also gives more emphasis on “Save This” which lets users bookmark stories easier in the same fashion that someone may Digg one on Relevant tags are also served, keeping still showing its roots in tagging & bookmarking.

Going beyond its core roots however is the new addition of Yahoo Search Marketing sponsored links being served to the right of search results. The advertisements seem to be restricted to the search engine area, which is smart on Yahoo’s part as further integration in tag lists or bookmark pages would more or less result in a negative reaction by loyalists.
