Last week I had the privilege to take a virtual tour with founder Razvan Gavrilas on the Version 2 release of CognitiveSEO. Now, if you’ve never heard of this before, there is a reason for being in stealth mode for so long. CognitiveSEO was in development for two years before debuting in Beta mode in July 2011. After time with feedback and further tweaking to create a formidable weapon in the seo arsenal, Version 2 launches today. Now, in 2012 Gavrilas believes it to be ready to give seo experts an impressive advantage over their competition.
Intro to CognitiveSEO
Key Points of the Tool
Key Points of the Tool:
Backlink Analysis – No other tool goes as in-depth as cognitiveSEO does. This is the core module of the tool. It aggregates data from multiple providers. It is perfect for fast backlink research, in-depth research and link velocity tracking etc.
Best use for it is Competitive Link Intelligence.
Link management – mostly focuses on Link Monitoring. Daily Updates.

Project Management – Keep your SEO work organized. Assign to-dos to multiple users. ( organize all the above)
Overview of Version 2 Updates
Check out the promotional pricing for the launch, promotional pricing ends March 15th.
Even though I only set up a few campaigns and am still learning the tool in-depth, I can point out a few of my favorite features.
Link Positioning Report – By easily clicking on the bottom corner of the site link, a pop up box appears that actually shows you the link position on the page.
Project Management – Whether you have an SEO agency or have contract help, this project management feature helps you keep all your projects organized. I like how you can have the reports and who is assigned to what task all in one place.
For the amount of data CognitiveSEO gives you and the in-depth reports you can create; everything is laid out with a clean and easy to navigate design.

Could you elaborate as to what the sources that they are gathering backlinks from? The video doesnt say.. is it the regular sources like majestic, ahrefs, opensite explorer etc? or do they have their own crawler?
Thanks

Hi David,
The sources are MajesticSEO, SEOmoz, ahrefs, SEOKicks and blekko
Thanks
Hi David,
We take the data from MajesticSEO, SEOmoz, ahrefs, SEOKicks and blekko aggregate, apply some filters that maximize the returned quality of the data and then go and re-crawl everything ( when you create a Campaign) generating very indepth features and metrics for each and every link.
There is also the “Backlink Reporrts” module that gives the possibility to do fast analysis (same links) without re-crawling and thus without such indepth metrics and features. But these are great for daily research ;)
Tks
Razvan
