Cingular and Yahoo Partner for Wireless Internet
Cingular Wireless announced today that it has teamed with Yahoo! to offer an extensive suite of instant-messaging, e-mail, mapping, games, news, and weather-information applications through Cingular’s MEdia Net service.
Jim Ryan, vice president of data product management and business marketing for Cingular Wireless said “Cingular’s new offerings of Yahoo!’s leading services are designed to meet this lifestyle need through the delivery of innovative features that are on the cutting edge of wireless technology.”
To use Yahoo’s services, Cingular customers just log in to the Yahoo Web site from their wireless phones and they will be able to access their choice of Yahoo!’s market-leading content and application offerings, including Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Messenger, Local Info, Yahoo! Sports, Yahoo! News and Yahoo! Games.
