Beginner’s Guide to Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
SEOmoz‘s Rand Fishkin has published a Beginner’s Guide to Search Engine Optimization (SEO) which is available on the SEOmoz website. The Beginner’s Guide to Search Engine Optimization is offered as a resource to help individuals, organizations and companies which are either inexperienced or maleducated with regards to search engine optimization, and want to learn (or relearn) the core basics of how the service and process operates. Rand posts on SEOmoz “It is our goal to improve your ability to drive search traffic to your site and debunk major myths about SEO. We share this knowledge to help businesses, government, educational and non-profit organizations benefit from being listed in the major search engines.”
Fishkin is an active moderator at SEO and Usability oriented web forums including Cre8asite Forums and Jill Whalen’s High Rankings Forum. SEOmoz serves two purposes as an Search Engine Optimization (SEO) firm and also community resource on SEO and SEM (Search Engine Marketing) with a daily blog and a set of automated SEO tools.
The SEOmoz Beginner’s Guide to Search Engine Optimization is available for free download or available for viewing online. Such sections of the Guide include How Search Engines Operate, How to Conduct Keyword Research, Building a Traffic-Worthy Site, and Crafting an SEO Strategy. I have not had a chance to review the entire SEOmoz Guide, but have read through the Building a Traffic-Worthy Site and Growing a Site’s Popularity sections which have a nice indepth look into link bait (which Fishkin covered in a recent Search Engine Journal Guest Piece), usability, and community building.

Thanks for your information. I visited the website, but one has to become a premium member to download the ebook.
