Baidu, the leading search engine in China, is getting involved in the coming US Presidential elections it seems. They have added a caricature of Barack Obama and the democrat donkey in the Baidu logo.

From the China Perspective:
This is only the sixth time that Baidu has dedicated its homepage to an individual. Baidu has also been kind enough to provide a profile of Barack as well as links to videos of Obama.
Interesting choice on Baidu’s part since he is probably the least China friendly of the candidates.
Click on the logo and you will find his profile.
Now we will have to wait and see whether Clinton and McCain will get their Chinese search engine moment as well.

This is the first time that I hear about involving search engine in the election.
BTW, why is he the least china friendly?

I’ve never seen this from Baidu before. I wonder why they chose Obama…

There are some pics in his profile page also. Anyway the caricature is really funny.
