Apple Inc. has finally started selling their much hyped product Apple TV, which is a wireless set-top box designed to show video downloaded from the iTunes and other content to the television set. So, Apple TV lets you watch iTunes videos on the television.
Apple TV puts your iTunes library — movies, TV shows, music, and podcasts — plus movie trailers from Apple.com on your TV. And your digital photos from iPhoto on a Mac or Adobe Photoshop Elements or Adobe Album on a Windows PC appear in high definition, so you can put on a stunning big-screen slideshow.
Apple TV is selling through the company’s website for a retail price of $299. It comes equipped with a 40GB hard disk for storing digital media and the storage capacity is enough to keep up to 50 hours of video. Apple TV also comes with a nifty remote control and the company says that the deliveries of the product can take up to 5 days.
Market analysts have claimed that the Apple TV could be the next big product for Apple and it has the potential to become bigger than TiVo and Netflix.
Be sure that Google also has their eyes set on Apple TV given Google’s control of YouTube and their interest in Video Advertising.
