I recommend it to all who ask me for Gmail accounts when I send the invitations (about 60 so far). I'm totally happy with it. Many of the notifiers that have been created by others do not work properly and Google won't even allow some of them to access Gmail (which to me is reasonable)! It is also beta and they may allow us to 'customize' it in future to have it check at different intervals or make other 'good' changes.
