Amazon A9 Search Engine Offers Shopping Discount
In an effort to boost Amazon’s A9 search engine usage and draw searchers away from Yahoo, Google and MSN, Amazon/A9 is offering a discount plan for A9 searchers on Amazon.com. Amazon is discounting purchases by 1.5% for A9 users as long as they register into A9 with their exisiting Amazon ID. It’s a bold plan and timed right before the holiday shopping season. If you’re spending an arm and a leg on Christmas shopping online this year, that 1.5% looks mighty juicy.
Amazon’s statement to A9 users:
”[User name], since you’ve been using A9.com recently, virtually everything at Amazon.com is automatically an additional p/2% (1.57%) off for you. Collecting this discount is zero effort on your part. It will be applied automatically at checkout (it will happen whether you use the shopping cart or our 1-Click Shopping). You don’t need to do anything to get this discount except keep using A9.com as your regular search engine.
“We don’t advertise this additional discount that we give in exchange for using A9.com, so if you want your friends to know about it, please tell them. It is probably the only way they’ll find out. All they have to do is use A9.com as their regular search engine. They should make sure they are signed in to A9.com (it should be recognizing them by name) so that we can be certain they get credit for their visit.”
According to Amazon, the 1.5% discount will be made up in Google AdWords search advertising which is featured on A9.

This is bogus. There is no discount given. I’ve used amazon many times before. All you’re doing is breaking out the shipping and handling and calling the handling “super saver discount.” Before is was just free s/h. I’ll never use you’re site again nor tell anyone except better business bureau.
