AdSense for High-End Mobile Phones Gets Optimized

The Inside AdSense blog announced that ad units being served on mobile phones, specifically the high-end models are now more optimized and larger to take full use of the mobile phones’ display capabilities. Previously, mobile AdSense publishers were only eligible to serve smaller text and image ads on mobile website content. The new feature was made possible through a new JavaScript snippet which is easier to implement and specifically optimized for mobile web. It will also allow publishers to choose additional ad unit sizes form the common AdSense formats that were previously being used on mobile websites.

What’s good about this feature is the fact that if you’r an AdSense publisher, you don’t have to do anything to run larger AdSense ad units on your mobile sites.  Google AdSense will automaticall detect if a user is browsing your content using high-end phones and if they do, the larger AdSense ad units will be automatically served.

So, if you’re running AdSense ads on your mobile websites, hopefully this new feature will boost your AdSense revenue.
